The Josser: Part 8

 

"There, that's my body, entering my apartment." Guilianna said to Chuck.
They watched from afar at the café as a gorgeous blonde in white entered an apartment complex. As of right now, everyone could only assume the old man was still occupying Guilianna's body, and that he had the remote. The best way to sort this all out was to corner him somehow.

Chuck couldn't wait to help Ashley. Being in her body and living her life for a good month or so at this point put a world of difference in understanding her, his heart stung at the thought of her being trapped in that gross old body in a coma back at the hospital. Chuck looked over at Guilianna in Mark's body, furiously messaging Eva and Mark as to what was going on. He was trying to hide it, but Ashley's body was definitely feeling some form of attraction to Mark's body, and Chuck wanted out of it as fast as possible before he did something he might regret.
"Ok they're good to go." Guilianna said, startling Chuck from his staring.
"What? Oh, uhm, ok yea, let's do this."

The plan was for Chuck to knock on Guilianna's door to her apartment and surprise the old man. The thinking behind it would be that he wouldn't really recognize Ashley's voice since he was only in this body for a few minutes at least. Behind him would be everyone else, and as soon as they saw the door open, they would rush the old man and pin him down.

Nervous, Chuck approached the door once they had all gained access to the building. He looked over at everyone, they all had stern and determined looks on their faces. Although something caught him off guard about Mark in Eva's body. His look was determined, but coupled with how weird he had been acting during the week of them being in Italy, something felt off about him.
Chuck shook it off, he would figure it out later, now was the time to focus on solving this. So Chuck turned back and knocked.
"G are you home? It's Ally from upstairs, is it ok if we talk for a bit?" Chuck lied.
A small rustle of motion was heard from the apartment and a click of a lock lead to the door being creaked open.
"Uh, yea, hey Ally. What do you need?"
"Our bodies back."
Guilianna's face went white with recognition and the other three tore through the open door, knocking down the old man and forcing him to the ground. Guilianna used her strength from her current body along with Mark and Eva went straight for the old man's mouth to gag him. In a few minutes they had him tied to a chair, unable to escape.
Chuck shut the door and Guilianna was put on watch to make sure the old man didn't escape.
"Search everywhere. He must have hidden it somewhere." Chuck spoke.
Mark, Chuck, and Eva split off in different directions, searching every nook and cranny.

"Here! It's here I got it!" A voice came from the other room. A second later, Mark walked in holding the remote. It was strange and almost alien looking, a small rectangle with one blue button in it.
"Can we switch back first?" Eva asked "I want to be back in my skin."

That was when Mark grinned evilly. Chuck's eyes went wide and on instinct he immediately started sprinting towards Mark. But it was all for naught, as Mark flung the remote as hard as he could against the wall, and the group watched in shock as the remote shattered on impact. A bright blue light slowly emerging from it as it made contact with the wall,  enveloping the room in a blue hue of fear.

I noticed the neighbors daughter next door, Maria, had been acting strange recently. Sneaking out, bringing home people she shouldn't, a lot of girls, and I mean a LOT. To others I would be labeled a creep and a weirdo again for noticing this. "Sheesh, this body is even better than I thought," Clarissa said to herself "lucky this girl had her diary in her phone and I could just spend all these 3 weeks boning up on it.
